ORDERING THE ALLGO REWARDS MASTERCARD GIFT CARD
Q. Who can order Allgo Mastercards gift cards?
A. For regulatory reasons, we only sell to businesses, not to consumers. So to order the Allgo Mastercard gift card, you must give us your company or business details so that we can verify that it is a B2B sale.
Q. How much do Allgo Mastercards gift cards cost?
A. Allgo Mastercard gift cards cost between €1 – €5 per card depending on your order volume. Delivery is €15 per order and the only other cost is the amount you want loaded on your cards.
Q. How long does it take to order the cards?
A. That depends on how quickly you can give us the exact quantities and values AND pay the invoice we will email to you. The cards cannot be loaded with your funds until you have paid the invoice. For standard orders, it takes 3 – 5 workings days. The process is as follows-
1. Place order by completing the online order form
2. We will email you an invoice
3. You pay the invoice by bank transfer (or credit card with 2% fee)
4. We courier the cards to you unloaded
5. Once you confirm delivery, we activate the cards, and they can be used to pay for goods & services immediately.
Q. How are the cards presented?
A. The cards come presented in an Allgo card holder inside an individual black envelope.
Q. Can I order cards with different amounts for each employee?
A. Yes, absolutely. You can send us a spreadsheet of employee names and amounts, and we will load each card and label the card for each employee. You can also give us Department, Manager, or Reference no. for each employee and we will batch the cards accordingly to make it easier for you to distribute to staff.
Q. Can I brand the cards for my company?
A. Yes you can. We offer different 3 levels of branding (additional costs may apply depending on the order quantity)-
- Branded Colour Logo on outside of the black envelope
- Full Colour Branded Cardholder
- Branded Card (requires Mastercard design approval)
Q. What payment options do I have to pay for my cards order?
A. We offer all the payment options below, and payment is required before the cards can be loaded with funds-
- Bank Transfer (the quickest and most secure option)
- Credit Card (subject to 2% charge)
Q. Can we get a spreadsheet of the card numbers for our order?
A. Yes, for security we never record the PAN (the long 16 digit number on the front of the cards), but we can provide you with the AGO/AG0 numbers, which are used to check balances and get transactions statements, and also to cancel any cards that are lost or stolen.

A. We have confirmation in writing from Irish Revenue that the card fully complies-
SECURITY OF FUNDS
Q. How secure are the funds on the Allgo Rewards Mastercard Gift Card?
A. Very secure. Security of funds on Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift cards is ensured through the use of protected card account from the issuing bank, Wirecard Card Solutions. Once loaded, the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card funds sit in a bank regulated account, completely segregated from Allgo and from the issuing bank. This account is held only for the purposes of processing payments from the cards through the Mastercard payment network, and to disburse card charges if applicable.
In the unlikely event that either Wirecard Card Solutions or Allgo becomes insolvent, funds that have been deposited into the Client Funds Bank Account and loaded onto the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card are protected against the claims made by creditors.

USING THE ALLGO REWARDS MASTERCARD GIFT CARD
Q. Where can the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card be used?
A. You should be able to use the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card at any retailer that accepts Mastercard, home and abroad, as long as there are sufficient funds on the card to cover the transaction.
Q. Are there any retailers that don’t accept the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. The only retailers that we are aware of that don’t accept the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card are-
- Three Ireland Stores
- Vodafone Ireland Stores
- Circle K
Both Carphone Warehouse and eir Retail Stores have told us they do accept the Allgo Mastercard, so if you would like to buy mobile phone services with your gift card, please visit your nearest Carphone Warehouse shop or eir Retail Store.
Likewise, many Maxol Petrol Stations will accept the Allgo Mastercard for payment of fuel and products. Please check with your local Maxol Station.
Q. How does the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card work?
A. To use the card instore, simply swipe along the reader and sign for your goods. You can use your Allgo Mastercard gift card as many times as you like until the expiry date printed on the front of the card or up to the amount available on the card. As the card is used, the amount of each purchase is automatically deducted from the card’s available balance.
Q. What if my in-store purchase is greater than the balance on my card?
A. In this case, you should ask the checkout assistant for a “split tender”, which will then allow you to pay x amount from your Allgo Mastercard, and the remainder using another payment source eg cash, debit or credit card.
Q. Can I use my Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card online?
A. You will be able to use your Allgo Mastercard gift card on many websites (and for telephone purchases). To use the gift card online, you simply need to enter the card number, Valid Thru date and the 3-digit CVV on the back of the card.
Please Note: as the Allgo gift cards are not registered to your address, you may experience difficulties using the card on websites where address verification is required. If your online transaction is rejected because of the billing address, we suggest you try using Allgo’s address (66 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 X201, Ireland). If that does not work, your only other option is to contact the website’s customer service.
Please Note: It is not yet possible (2019) to register your Allgo Mastercard for 3D Secure. Therefore, following the introduction of Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) across Europe from Sept 2019, it may not be possible to use the Allgo Mastercard on all websites. This feature will be added in 2020.
Q. Can I use the Allgo Mastercard with PayPal?
A. You can use your Allgo Mastercard to pay online on any website that accepts PayPal. To do this, you first need to add your Allgo Mastercard to your PayPal account by logging into PayPal and clicking “Link a Credit Card” in your PayPal Wallet.
Q. Can I use the Allgo Mastercard with Google Pay or Apple Pay?
A. You can add your Allgo Mastercard to the Google Pay or Apple Pay apps, though because there 3D Secure is not yet supported, for now you may be restricted on where you can spend your Allgo Mastercard through these apps.
Q. Can I use the Allgo Mastercard with the Revolut App or Revolut Card?
A. No, you cannot currently top up your Revolut account with your Allgo Mastercard gift card.
Q. Can I use the Allgo Mastercard to transfer funds to Credit Card Account or a Bank Account?
A. No, you cannot transfer funds from your Allgo Mastercard to a credit card account or to a bank account, as this would invalidate the terms of the Small Benefit Scheme and subject the employer and employees to BIK on the value of the card.
Q. Can I use the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card abroad?
A. Yes, you can use the Allgo Mastercard gift card anywhere in the world that accepts Mastercard. The card is denominated in Euro, so in any country outside of the Eurozone, your purchase will be subject to exchange rate fees.
Q. How do I know the balance on my Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. You can check your balance online on allgogiftcard.com or by contacting customer service on +353 1 563 4444 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You will need the “AGxxxxxx” card reference number from the front of your card to check your balance.
Q. How can I get a copy of my transactions on my Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. To get a copy of all your transactions, please email email@example.com, quoting the “AGxxxxxx” card reference number from the front of your card. We will then email you back a statement of your transactions with 24 hours.
Q. How does the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card need to be registered or activated?
A. No, once you receive the card, it will already be activated and ready to spend – you just need to sign the back of the card for security purposes and you are ready to go.
Q. Do I need a PIN for the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. No, the card is not a Chip & PIN card. It has magstripe at the back and this is used to “swipe” the card at the retailer checkout to pay for purchases. The card also has the normal 16 digit number, expiry date, and 3-digit security code on the back to pay for purchases online or over the phone.
Q. Can I withdraw cash at an ATM with an Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. No, the gift card cannot be used to withdraw cash from ATMs.
Q. Is there an Expiry Date on the Allgo Mastercard Gift Card?
A. Yes, the Expiry Date is printed on the front of the card under “Valid Thru”. Cards are valid for at least 2 years from the date you receive it.
Q. Can I reload my Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. No, the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card can only be loaded once.
CHARGES AND FEES
Q. Are there any fees associated with using the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. There are no card charges during the first 12 months (except for using the card in a non-Euro countries, for which there is a 2% foreign exchange charge).
From month 13, there is a monthly service fee of €3, which will be deducted from the card’s available balance. The full list of fees and charges are as follows-

WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG?
Q. If my Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card is lost or stolen, can it been replaced?
A. Prepaid gift cards should be treated like cash because if your card is lost or stolen, you may lose some or all of your money on your gift card. As a result, you must keep your gift card safe and not let anyone else use it.
If your Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card is lost or stolen, and you know your card number, you should immediately call the Mastercard 24 hour lost & stolen card helpline on +44 1604 640513. It is your responsibility to provide the”AGxxxxxx” card reference number from the front of your card to cancel the card.
Once you have cancelled the card, you can contact Allgo Customer Service on +353 1563 4444* or at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we can transfer any remaining balance to a new card. A fee of €20 will be deducted from the remaining balance on your card.
Q. What happens if I damage my Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card?
A. If your card gets damaged (especially the magstripe on the back of the card), you may not be able to use your card to swipe for instore transactions. If that is the case, then you can either-
a) Use your card for online transactions, or
b) Use the Lost & Stolen procedure above to cancel the card and order a replacement (subject to the relevant charges).
Q. What happens if I need to return an item I have purchased with my Allgo Mastercard gift card?
A. Every retailer has their own returns policy. Normally, if you return or cancel an order paid for with your Allgo Mastercard gift card, the retailer will return the funds back onto your Allgo Mastercard gift card (how long this will take depends on the retailer). The retailer may instead provide a cash refund or store credit, depending on their returns policy. Please check with the retailer before you return any purchase or cancel an order to confirm exactly how they will refund you, and how long it will take.
Q. Does the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card have an expiration date?
A. Yes, the expiration date (“Valid Thru” date in the format mm/yy) is printed on the front of your card. Your gift card will not be accepted by merchants beyond this date.
Q. What happens when the Allgo Rewards Mastercard gift card expires?
A. The expiry month and year is printed on the front of your card (under Valid Thru heading). We recommend that you use all the available balance on your card prior to expiry. If after this time, you still have funds on your Allgo Rewards Mastercard Gift Card, you are able to redeem your funds. To redeem your funds please contact Customer Services on +353 1 563 4444* or email email@example.com. A fee of €20 will be deducted from the remaining balance on your card.
Q. A Transaction failed on Amazon.co.uk, but the funds have left my card. What do I do?
A. Sometimes if a transaction fails on Amazon.co.uk using the Allgo Mastercard, there can be an Authorisation charge of €1.15 charged on the card by Amazon. These charges should obviously not be levied, so the customer should request that Amazon refund them.
If these charges are still pending after 7 days (because it was failed transaction that was not completed on Amazon.co.uk), please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange to have the funds released.
